No More Spawning!

Hello! Sorry for the loss of updates, I've been busy.

The server has gone through some great changes. We have had new players join, new structures built, and new caves discovered!

I would like to make a very important announcement though. As you may know, almost all players have access to being an OP. This gives them the ability to teleport, access to ban hammers, and the power to spawn/hack in items. While at first, the use of spawning was subtle, it has grown into an overused monster.

Do not get me wrong, spawning has not served the server wrong. It's just that the amount of spawning has become a problem. So, without further ado, here are the new spawning rules.

No spawning items except in the following situations:

1: You may spawn as much redstone as you wish.

a: DO NOT Spawn Redstone Torches OR Repeaters!

2: You may spawn (a limited, being confirmed) amount of The Nether object every week.

3: You may be permitted to spawn other objects if you submit a plan to Dr_MadMan, Markdb96, or LotusEliseGeek.

4: Any Player caught spawning illegal items will, in order:

a: Be given a WARNING and will have the item confiscated.

b: A second infraction will be greeted with a gentlemanly CONFISCATION, DE-OP-ING, AND/OR TEMPORARY BAN.

c: Further actions or repeated abuse of rules will result in a PERMA-BAN TO THE FACE.

*These Rules take affect TODAY on February 23, 2011

A gold system is also being worked up for all of the players. This is the basics, and I will update it as I get more information.

DR_MadMan's Server Gold Standard

All Players New and Old Will Get 90 Bars of Gold

Gold Bars may be retrieved at the Bank

Gold Bars may be traded for food, minerals, and other items.

Players may make products for money.

Iron Blocks may be traded as a lower level of currency.

If you find gold, you may keep it.

Forest Fire and Stadium!

Hey Guys, just two announcements.

First off, there is a contained forest fire.

The damage is not too bad. I talked to the guy who allegedly started it, and he said he was scrolling thought the inventory for his axe, accidentally equipped the Flint&Steel, and clicked on the tree. Fortunately, it's not too widespread, but this could have been a lot worse if other people were not standing by. Please, Please, PLEASE make sure you are careful with Flint and Steel! Also, gather your wood from this fiery forest!

New Stadium!

This stadium was constructed by Markdb96. With some assistance, he was able to piece together this near-complete stadium. The stadium will hold Spleef Matches, Bow Competitions, and Skirmishes! Good Job Mark!

Server Corruption! Recovering...

Hello! Unfortunately, the server crashed and was corrupted. Fortunately, no major damage was done, except to Skyline Master's awesome tunnel. We are reworking the tunnel, and are doing fine with the random chunks.

Hello! I just wanted to give you a quick update on how everything is going.

This is a storage room that Dr_MadMan made. Wow! It looks awesome!
This is LotusEliseGeek's shop! He might give you the stuff for free though...
This is SkylineMaster1's tunnel that connects the main fort to another set of buildings. This thing goes underwater!
This is an archery range designed to test your skills! The expert shot is 35 meters (blocks) away, and you have to hit a "0" on a sign! Can you do it?
Finally, this is the ecology center in the middle of the woods. It is kind of hidden, but it also acts as a fort, hence the "official" name.

The New Map

Hello! Just a quick update, a fort has been built in the new map, and it looks great!

If you are new to the server, please move to the right when you spawn. You will see the fort eventually.

Also, I heard that there is a secret dispenser that has goodies inside that refills EVERY DAY!

It is in a mountain, and it can be eyeshot from the fort. It contains rare minerals, dungeon items, and apples!
